Jerry W. Gann has been producing Art for over a decade being involved in over 60 group shows and solo exhibitions. Born 1974 in Texas, He graduated in 2001 with a Bachelors of Fine Arts from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Mr. Gann currently resides in the Hondo, Texas and remains a dedicated Teacher, Artist and Father.
MY WORK
Mr. Gann’s older paintings often consist of manipulated vintage advertisement images and themes, other works are derived from photographs (portraits) in which the artist uses traditional oil painting techniques with contemporary flare. Currently Mr. Gann is has been working on mixed media collages’ that amplify painting and the creative process.” Art should be able to be made out of an old shirt, just as easy as it is a streched canvas.” Always striving to the bridge the gap between classic and cutting edge, Jerry Gann has blended together a style of his own.
